Connecting Strava directly

Use this when you don't have Garmin, log activities manually on Strava, or need full distance/pace/HR when ICU only shows Strava stubs.

Strava connects in one OAuth step. Brotein.pro imports your recent activities and listens for new ones via webhook when the server is configured.

Choose Strava direct when you don't use Garmin, log activities manually on Strava, or use Garmin + Strava without intervals.icu. If you have a Garmin watch, intervals.icu is usually the better primary path — see Garmin + ICU setup.

1. Connect Strava in Brotein.pro

Dashboard → Integrations → Strava → Connect. Authorize Brotein.pro in Strava. Initial sync pulls roughly the last 90 days of activities.

2. Verify workouts in Brotein.pro

Open the Workouts tab. The Strava panel shows how many sessions are cached. Click Refresh from Strava if history is still importing.

3. Automatic sync (webhook)

When the Brotein.pro server has Strava webhooks configured, new and updated activities arrive automatically — no manual refresh needed.

If something is missing after several minutes, use Refresh from Strava under Integrations (troubleshooting only).

When to prefer intervals.icu instead

If you have a Garmin watch, connect intervals.icu first — see Garmin + ICU setup. ICU brings wellness (sleep, HRV, training load) that Strava alone does not provide to Brotein.pro.
